With all the posts on getting an UQ to snug up against you, particularly the incubator 0. Has anyone used them to assist in getting rid of the cold spots? I am thinking that they should help, but I have no experience with them. Any feedback would be appreciated, Thanks!

That's the very reason they exist, to take slack out of an UQ and get rid of cold spots.

I use them with my WBBB and Mt. Washington underquilt. You get the same setup everytime once you get them set where you want them the first time.

Thanks Rain Man for the post. I understand the design concept, I am looking for feedback from those of you that use them on a regular basis. There have been several posts lately on issues of getting the winter quilts dialed in. There have been several great responses on what works from several individuals. My curiosity is wondering if the triangle thingies are the fix all answer.

IMO, the triangle twinges can help with the JRB suspension that comes with the Mt Washington UQ...however, the HG UQ suspension does not really need the triangle twinges. YMMV

No they are not. In almosts every case the UQ is not fitting correctly do to operator error in the install and or proper adjustment.
Some hammocks are just designed wrong for an UQ to fit properly.
Have triangle thingies worked for some? Yes they have.

Thanks O&B. I have read many of your responses to forum questions over the past several months. Your experience and judgment are spot on. Thank you for your insight.

I use triangle thingies on my UGQ Zeppelin but I have one of the first ones that only has the shock cord channel suspension. It works well and changes the angle to better snug up the UQ. The new quilts have a primary and secondary suspension.

Yeah, I like because you can adjust each one individually to make it more "asym" - for instance, I like to have it pulled tighter on my left shoulder side and feet side. Works for my JRB quilt. I recently got a HG0 and did not use them when I took it out because of the dual suspension. Felt like I needed the thingies, but that could be just learning the HG suspension.

I rely on my Triangle Thingies. I use them with a 3/4 length differentially baffled underquilt that can slide on the shockcord suspension. They really help keep the UQ up on my shoulder. Without them, I would sometimes get the whole underquilt on one side of the hammock. Not cozy at all.
I tried using just a head-end TT, but I found that I really need both to have my UQ stay where I want it.
I toss and turn in my hammock all night so my UQ must work hard to keep up with me!
I pack my hammock in my pack with the top quilt inside and the underquilt and triangle thingies attached. Makes for quick set up and pack up.
