After reading a few threads about adding a secondary suspension to an UQ, I wanted to see if I could add one temporarily to my WB Yet without having to sew grosgrain onto the four corners. For more info, see this reference: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/102603-Yeti-weight-question?highlight=suspension+uq+prussic

Basically, I am trying to duplicate this suspension shown in Shug's photos:

While at REI yesterday, I saw this REI Hang-Up Clothesline with 8 small plastic locking clips with small teeth on them (around $10 for the set). The clothesline gets horrible reviews. However, the small clips are made of plastic and are very light.

So, I cut the clothesline and added a short length of lash-it cord on each clip in order to make a prussic.

Then, by putting the prussic on the primary suspension and securing the clip on the end of the UQ, I have basically a removable version of this secondary suspension. Once clamped, the small clips seem to really grab onto the fabric well. I don't think they will come off in use.

I am wondering if using zip-cord for the attachment prussic would work better. The lash-it really grabs the shock cord tightly.

I am also thinking that I could use the other four clamps to somehow pull the UQ up using line over the ridgeline. More experimenting to do.
