Wanted to let everyone know that we're now carrying APEX in the 7.5 oz variety. Back of the envelope, this should get you down to around 0 deg on a top quilt and probably lower for a UQ. There are a lot of variables in there, but I think that's a good baseline estimate. I only have one roll for now, so if you're thinking about a build you may want to scoop it up now. If it does well we will be adding it to the lineup as a stock product.

Also APEX 5.0 is back in stock. You should see how much space I need for this stuff. To put it mildly, we are flush with Climashield.

Lastly, I'm having some pretty sweet APEX die-cut stickers made up that will begin shipping with every order soon as we get them. These aren't required for your quilt to function, but they are pretty cool looking

Thank you

Is there somewhere I can find Climashield temp ratings? Thanks!

Anybody selling apex 7.5 UQs? Wondering about weight and stuffed size. Way too stoopid for DIY (DIM?)!

I'll know shortly. I have the shell for a 82" x 56" full size in multicam awaiting my shipment from RSBTR. I'm hoping for 10f from it. Up in Canada we may still hit some cold so if my customer is okay with it I might try it out and see how far I can push it.

Loft is about 1.8" on the 7.5 oz and 1.2" for the 5.0 oz.

There is a ton of good info in this thread: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/100653-Primaloft-Silver-and-Gold-now-available-RBTR. Have a look through that if you're interested in the finer points.

As a ballpark figure, I've used 2 Clo = 40 degF. Each additional unit of clo is roughly 10 degF. So for example, the total clo for 5.0 oz APEX is (5*0.82) = 4.1. This puts you down around 20 degF for a topquilt design. Probably a little lower for an underquilt.

I'm so pumped to give the 7.5 a go, customer said push it so it's a go outside as soon as it's finished and ready. I'll give you an update. (Awaiting shipment)

Wish this came out sooner. I'm using a 2.5 and 5 layer on a quilt now. Fewer layers definitely makes it easier to run through the machine. Not that multiple is hard, it's just one less thing to factor.

Here's the 7.5. Just got the shipment today. Man does it poof out nice. Unfortunately our lows aren't that low to properly test though. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/03/25/88e12b68cec9e26f17d2ac7f43556a6e.jpg
