Here are a couple of ways to tie off the RL for you tarp over top of the ridge pole on the Hammeck Stand.

1st way is to tie to the loops of the hammock suspension that go up around the ridge pole. This has two main draw backs first it will only work with tarps that have 11' or shorter RLs with out the use of the 24" extension piece that is sold separately from the stand, and second you have to have your hammock up before putting your tarp on which can be a problem if it is already raining. Here are some pictures of how to set it up.

The 2nd way is to purchase additional S-hooks to put hook in to the ends of the end caps as snellvillehammock suggested on the Hammeck Stand thread. I picked up 1" S-hooks that have a load rating of 20 lbs and came in a pack of 6 for $1.69 at the local hardware store. They are small enough that you can slide them between the rubber plug and the metal. this will allow you to use a longer tarp and you will be able to set the tarp up first. Here are some pictures of the S-hooks and how to set it up.

Recommend you do not set up your tarp over the top of the stand rail as that will allow rain to roll to the bottom of the stand and it will travel to the low point of the stand and you will get wet.
