Just curious how much of a difference there is between the two....besides the poly static.

Polyester fabric tends to stretch much less than nylon. So if you are a person with some girth to them, then the polyester hammock may be the better choice. I have a couple of bridge hammocks I made from the polyester crinkle taffeta tablecloths and I really like them.

Yes. The PolyD has very little stretch. That makes for a very flat lay. No calf ridge. At least for me. However, with the PolyD, I wish there was more width than the 60". The NylonD has more stretch, and it feels very soft. The PolyD is rather smooth and slippery.

FWIW My PolyD bridge doesn't seem to have much static anymore. It really did right after I made it, but after the first trip, it doesn't seem to have any problem. At least I haven't noticed it.
