Greetings all....
I wanted to make up a go-pack I could keep in the car for spur of the moment hikes or over nighters and I found a great little pack on clearance over at Gossamer Gear. The back is the Minimalist 24 UL Daypack. Boy, it is a really nice pack! And it seems to hold plenty of stuff and then some.
120307 1) SPE, 2) pad, 3) hammock, 4) straps, whoopies, toggles, tarp pegs etc., 5) tarp, 6) small ground sheet
7) wind breaker, 8) pillow, 9) camera, 10) water, 11) misc shite. Missing are the two cinnamon pop tarts.

What about top insulation? Or is that what you call pop tarts?

Hey bananahammock....this was just the first test and was only a short day hike. So I didn't have a TQ. Normaly my camera would not be in the pack, I'd use a smaller tarp and wouldn't take the pillow. If my other foam pad works out, I won't need the SPE. I'm sure I could stuff a light down TQ or even my PLTQ in the pack. It's still a work in progress...
