There is a website called Appalachian Trails and they have a new article about changing from tents to hammocks. Hammock forums is mentioned. Also a few of the vendors are mentioned but they left out a lot of vendors but I guess they couldn't list all the vendors. If you get a chance check out the article.

I'm assuming you mean Appalachian "Trials", not trails. Easy to confuse.

Cool article. As a newly transformed "hanger" it is good to hear the Pros and cons. And my thinking is the pros outweigh the cons, but the cons need considering in my newness to hammocks.
Overall very enjoyable.
There appears to be a recent rise in the number of positive, accurate articles trying to teach a broader audience about hammock camping.

You got that right I've learned so much in the short time I've been a member! And also thanks to Shug and Backpacking Adventures!
After sleeping in a hammock, a bed just sounds barbaric.

Nice! The vocab lesson was helpful for a new hanger.

This one seems to be from Dec, 2015. OP, is that the "new" article you came across?
Here’s one I wrote last year
