Preferred Seam Sealer for 1.1oz Silpoly

I've seen a lot of conversation regarding different options for seam sealing the ridge on Silpoly. Is there a preferred sealer? Also, are both sides of the material sealed the same or is there a difference ( I noticed others in the past talking about 1 side being shiny vs matte).
