My best friend's son wanted a Starry Night Underquilt. So I bought a 4 yard print of Starry Night (https://ripstopbytheroll.com/products/outdoorink-netless-hammock-kit) and the rest of the materials, and sat down to sew this afternoon.

The end result? a 72" long, 50" wide underquilt made with Climashield APEX 5.0.

I'm going to take the bits of the pattern I cut off and use it as the Triangles on a hammock I'm going to be building him in the near future. I think the small splash of starry night on a Royal Blue HyperD hammock will look amazing.

A piece of fine art in which to hang. Well conceived and well executed. Kudos.

You can actually buy it as a hammock kit right now on the site. Here (https://ripstopbytheroll.com/products/outdoorink-netless-hammock-kit)

Very nice. Vangogh is one of my favorite artists. You guys are opening whole new doors to creativity with the new prints you have. Truly amazing stuff.

I just had an idea! UQ duvet! Or I guess I could just make a quilt protector. :-)

How did you decide on Apex 5.0? I'm thinking of doing a summer weight UQ - mid 50s and up, just to make it light and less bulky. Having trouble deciding on an Climashield weight.

Well, we went with Climashield 5.0 for a number of reasons:

It's a kid's quilt, and kids tend to sleep cold.

I live in Upstate NY, and here in the mountains, it can drop into the 40's at night all summer long. In fact, it was 43 degrees last night where I was.

If you're looking for 50's, you can go with the 2.5 or 3.6. But here, "Summer weight" includes the low 40's
