I love that pattern. Plus it in my favorite color. Excited to see what you're cooking up over there.

Going to start needing some warmth here in Ohio, finally, after this weekend at least.

George is this design only going to be used on under quilts? That will certainly keep the down in place.

It is also on the habanero top quilt. It's awesome. I've not gotten it down to the limits yet, but been plenty warm with a 20* in the upper 30s.

*edit
That's the GHOST PEPPER top quilt... not the habanero. DOH!

This is the same chevron that is on the Ghost Pepper topquilt, only it runs longitudinally.

It's called the Carolina Reaper, and it will be available before weeks end. Just working out some final details.

Make red draft collars on solid colors... "Hot Lips" version.

This is the draft collar rolled out on a synthetic 3.6. Can't wait to see one on a Carolina Reaper!

I have to believe the latitudinal baffles would prove most effective, but I suppose I could be wrong... either way, I'm glad plenty of overtime is on my horizon, as it seems I will be making a fairly large purchase in the not so distant future.

Just placed an order for 2,

Thank you again George for all the help and info -
These will be my and my wife's first underquilts (other than simple DIY) and to anyone else with questions or trying to decide on details etc, George is a great guy, give him a call or send an email.. He's been a huge help in the process and I feel much more comfortable with my decisions because of it.

Also if you're from the TriState area, a little bonus is he has some good recommendations for hikes as well!

I just looked it up on your site and only seen one color for the UQ. I seen the different color trim. Are there different color for the fabric of the UQ?

I'm not associated with this company just really like the gear.

George, why is this more expensive than your other under quilt?..

I'm guessing because it takes more work to do the chevron baffles, and looking at the specs it contains more down.

What he said...and I should be charging more, but I'm keeping the price down for the time being.

hammock gear incubator 20 degree - 12 oz 850 fill down 78x44 inches $249
Loco Libre Carolina Reaper 20 degree - 16.5 oz 900 fill down 80x44 $303

cost of 4.5 oz of 900 fill down.. say $40 and add the cost of 900 vs 850.. so even at the slightly higher price, it's still right on par with the rest.. not going to compare craftsmanship, etc, just wanted to show both are very competitively priced

Warbonnet Wookie 3 season is 20 degree, 10 oz 800 fill down 76x44 for $250. add the 6.5 oz down (~$59) so again it's pretty evenly priced.

also vs the 20 degree Loco Libre habanero - 15 oz 900 fill down $275.. add $13 for the additional down, $15 for all the extra work going into those baffles.. sounds like we're getting a deal there :-)

I think the carolina reaper is just trying to stay true to it's name and be the hottest of them all with all that extra down lol

It's "she" :shades:...but in keeping the price down for "the time being" what is the timeline of keeping the price low? I want to buy one and would like to get an order in before the price goes up, but also trying to wait until the credit card is paid off!

Oops! My apologies.

No timeline to raise the price, and as of now no plans to do so unless I see a price increase in my material costs. I originally had set the price point higher, but as long as I'm profitable I'm not going to be greedy.

I'm really looking forward to my Carolina Reaper arriving in the next few weeks! That chevron design looks amazing in burnt orange.
