I remember a "build a project" contest from a few months ago but can't find it. I have a bunch of salvaged down and need a material list for a 4 season under quilt but can't find the link.
One of the best underquilt guides is right here on hammockforums. Just search the forums for 'Catsplat Calculator' It will give you the ability to mess with the size, fill, and overfill. And give you a good idea of the amount of fabric and down you need. It will even give you the estimated temp of the UQ over on the right side. It's been pretty accurate in my experience.
Beyond the fabric, down, and baffle material (which the calculator will give you #'s for) you just need channels and suspension.
In the mean time, I'll find that link for you if I can.. as soon as I will myself to get out of the hammock.. it's 30 degrees out right now, and a lot warmer in the quilts with me.
