Michigander here.
I all ... just found your website. I am an avid backpacker and a member of other backpacking sites. Tent camping has been my thing but am interested in hammock camping. I have not outfitted myself yet but, planning on it. Hi to all, I'm sure that I will learn a lot here though.

Welcome aboard, there's an immense amount of info here but technically if you make it through the night without touching the ground you're doing it right!
Unfortunately I'll be out of MI until April, but after that I'd be happy to show you the ropes. There's been talk of a michigan-hang being organized, so keep an eye out for that too. Good luck.

Welcome! I'm on the west side, Ludington to be exact. You will find a ton of great info here! Once you take to the trees you will never want to back to the ground.

Another Michiganian here! I am in the SW corner of the Lower Peninsula. Little village called Edwardsburg on highway 12. Spend a lot of time hiking and paddling the Cadillac, Mesick area on the Manistee river and the NCT.
I love to hang in Michigan. There are lots of opportunities. Welcome aboard, this is an incredible resource, with creative and knowledgeable participants and moderators.
Welcome to the forum! If you ever get a chance hike the Porcupine Mountains State Park in the U.P. It's fantastic!
