Another great experience with my Ghost pepper - This last weekend I brought my dog with me for his first overnight aside from trips in our RV. I brought my hammock and all the fixins but also brought a small tent just in case. It was pretty windy and below 30 degrees so I opted to go to ground as I didn't want him in the cold wind all night until I make a special quilt for him. I had not come to this decision lightly but chose none the less.

When I ordered my Ghost Pepper, I ordered a 55" wide just to leave the ground option open and am glad I did. The 55" width in the hammock seemed too wide at first but I quickly realized all I had to do was tuck the sides in around me and I was super sealed. I borrowed a friends 20" wide BA insulated pad and because of the extra width of the quilt, I was able to seal my front and back while side sleeping. Being on a pad, I tossed and turned all night but the Ghost Pepper stayed on my like jockey on Seabiscuit. Even comparing it to my old BA bag with a pad in an integrated sleeve was no match for comfort, warmth, and ease of exit and reentry, The Ghost pepper wins hands down. This was my first time using The Ghost pepper on the ground and I know it won't be the last. I couldn't be happier with this quilt.

YUK! The ground. Get that pup a small dog tent and get back in the air :) You simply can't go wrong with the Ghost Pepper quilts if you plan ahead when ordering as it does take a while to get them.
