I cut my pole to length and thought I'd share a couple pics of the result.

The first one shows the tarp without the pole. Notice that the shock cord holding the doors is about 4-5 inches above the tarp surface.

The second shows the change after the pole is installed. Notice that the shock cord is now bumped up forming a slight V angle. This looks to be about a 6-8" change.

The last pic shows the pole on the inside with the center tie.
P.S. Any tips on how to rotate the first two snakes? They're oriented correctly on my computer. Thanks
