I am requesting that only those members who would be interested in participating in this group buy vote in this poll. If you have absolutely no intention of purchasing a Buff, regardless of the final design, please refrain from voting.
I went back through the old design thread and picked the top 3 choices according to member response. I've also included a variant of the Moon design with a simple gradient background.
This poll will be open for voting for the next 10 days. Whichever design has the most votes at the end of the voting period is what will be using for the Hammock Forums Custom Buff. In case of a tie, the moderation team will decide between the 2 most popular choices.
After the design choice is made we will be asking the members of HF to help finalize the design so that it can be submitted to the designers at Buff. They require that the graphics be in a Vector format along with the proper colors taken from a Pantone color chart (http://www.d-zignsinc.com/view/pantone.html). Buff will answer basic questions, but they require a deposit before they actually start manipulating the design we submit. Once the Buff design team takes over, we only get 2 revisions.
After everything is finalized with Buff we will start taking payments. pgibson heading up this group buy, including accepting payments, packaging, and shipping the Buffs (big thanks to Paul for this). Paul will set up a website for accepting payments. Pricing will be based off of the cost for 100 Buffs, plus a flat shipping rate, and fees (like Paypal). There will be no commitment, pre-order, or wait list.
When we are ready to accept payments, an announcement will go out to all members, either via PM or email. We will take orders for a week before we stop taking payments and the group buy closes.
For this group buy, PayPal will be the only method of payment accepted. Setting up a PayPal account (https://www.paypal.com/) is easy and free.
I know that this group buy has not gone as smoothly as we would have liked. It's time to put that behind us and forge ahead.

I'd wear any of them. I just voted for one for the sake of voting.
I'm also really glad that this is moving forward and I will be buying one regardless of the design selected.
That being said, I love the moon/mountains design but I expect it to get voted down. If I could have a second place vote it would be for the gradient design because it keeps the very cool moon but has the more neutral coloring that I think a lot of people are looking for in the buff.

I voted for the design I liked. I liked one design in particular. And I voted for it.

So I don't care.

Glad to see this moving forward. I like all but the third choice. My favorite is the first and last choices. Thanks to pgibson and headchange for your efforts. I'll be getting one.
i'd take any of them . i like the 2nd and then the 4th. whichever wins i'll order one.
They are all great sooooo I let the little lady choose the one I voted for.
The cavscout sings to me,

logo is suffucuent that folk will see who we represent in most all configuratioins

I voted for the Gradient, but it doesn't look like it'll win. I'm good with all of them, but I do like the big moons.

Just placed my vote...all the patterns are really nice...But im down to purchase one reguardless :), thanks mods, designers and Paul for putting this toogether
After finding out what the heck a buff is I determined I must have one. Furthermore I would like a HF buff so my vote is cast.

I like the last three designs. I'm in for at least a couple. Nice work people. We have some talent hanging around here. Hope some can rub off on me. :0)
I will also wear any of them. Voted for the moon one but like the last three. Out of the three it was tough to decide on one. the moon won by a small margin.

For this one we were going with the standard Buff material which, if I remember correctly, is microfiber polyester. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I really like Ricegravys design and it came in a close second for me. I voted for the "Moon Mountain" because...it's night, there's a moon and mountains! No, I don't hike in those kind of mountains, but dream of some day. Reminds me of Mt.Hood, Mt. Bachelor and the Sisters in Oregon. Of course, I'll be happy with any of the designs, unless it was kittens or something. I'm still in for TWO please.

Incredible! Do a youtbue search for Buff. There are folks making videos of the Buff there just like hammock goobs like us.

The should be around 13.25 each plus shipping and fees. No idea of ETA as of yet.
That - is an incredible price! If you don't have a buff, this buff price is rock bottom. Makes me think of getting another. :)

It depends on what Buff supplies back to us. Product in use photos are doubtful, though.

Hooch, like you I'm slowly attacking the AT...finished in October just out of pawling,ny at the railroad station...so starting there and hopefully getting through Conn and Mass..and would also strongly like to wear the HF buff while on the trail!

Like AS said, we probably won't see any real life shots until people start receiving their Buffs, but we will post the final design image, all cleaned up and purty, before we start taking payments.
I put in for one, but if there are folks who don't like CavScout's design, I will gladly pay for theirs too! I'll gladly take a couple. Please AngrySparrow, let us know when to send our PayPal in. Thanks!

We are still cleaning up the logo and choosing the correct colors that match the design, with Cannibal and cavscout's help. We are very close to submitting everything to Buff. There will be an announcement that will go out to everyone once we are ready for orders.
