Thank you George for crafting such a thing of beauty! I was conflicted about the snaps and draw string as many day if you are going cold, go sewn foot box. I like the versatility I think with the snaps. We shall see what happens this winter. Regardless, this TQ is beautiful and I suspect my daughter will be saving her pennies so she can order one as well. Thank you again. God has given you a gift and you clearly are using it!
Now I just hope it cools down a little tonight as there is no way I'm not trying out this thing!

I like how CM hauls out the biggest possible Crocodile Dundee knife to open the box containing his new LLG...
Nice quilt! Enjoy!

NICE! Congrats on that nice looking quilt. What's the temp rating on this one? I have that cammo and really like it. Another good job George.

Congrats on the new quilt. I love the camo/neon combo. It's stealth and jarring at the same time. ;)

It is a 0 degree with the 900 fill power goose down. WAY back in June there was a sale and it basically gave me the upgrade to 900 fill power for free. I really kind of wanted the RSBTR OutdoorInk Fallen Leaves pattern, but I really couldn't spend that extra cash at the time. I really like this camo though regardless! The neon green inside matches the backpack I made actually, which is why I went with it. I totally was going for the stealth/jarring deal on it Cory! Good call!
Kitsap, that's my Gerber LMF ASEK knife. You were totally right, I saw that sticker and grabbed the biggest closest knife I had, which was sitting right on my drafting board in my shop! The next knife in line was a machete actually. Some people get nervous coming into my shop for some reason... Note: I actually used my Leatherman sheepsfoot blade VERY gently and carefully to open the box. Could you imagine slicing your brandy new TQ????? That would SUCK!!
Picture to come: Me wearing the TQ on my head. Nobody here this weekend to take the picture so I will have to wait. Hammock set up out back so I don't have to make the bed all weekend! Wuhoooooo!!!! Time to go practice on the drum kit and then get in my hammock for a nice night of sleeeeep!

See, I had already figured out that you were pretty awesome, but this just confirms it. I keep a Gerber LMF II Infantry (not quite as nice as your ASEK) in my bug-out bag -- because one never knows when one will have to punch through an aircraft fuselage or make a spear -- and a little Gerber Prodigy in my vehicle get-home bag. I love the feel of the LMF; and for what it is and what you pay for it, you can beat on these Gerbers pretty hard, and they will take it. They will even open a box!

Nice quilt, CM. George does incredible work.
I'll join the chorus on this one to say that the Camo/lime is a winner

Kitsap, if they only made the exact knife without the serrations, but yes, you can split about anything with it and hammer and break glass and mine even came with a seatbelt clothing knife thing! I keep that in the door pocket of my truck for obviously reasons. I love the grip feel for sure.

Here's to cooler weather! Enjoy!
We were blessed with a 45 degree night here in Maine last night! I didn't cook under the TQ and in fact, I woke up chilly because I didn't put a hat on. I always have a fleece cap with me though so I stuck it on and slept like a baby the rest of the night! Woke up and unsnapped the foot box to air it out for the day. That's "making the bed" for hammockers!!

900 FP down makes a quilt lighter than air. Going for it when the right sale lines up is the way to go. Congrats!

You are so right! When I was reading I could barely tell it was on my legs. It is so much better than my 40 degree down sleeping bag I converted into a TQ too as it is so wide!!! Standard width, but way better fitting than the DIY one. I like have a 40 and a 0 though. No way would I bring the 0 in the dead of summer even here in Maine.
