Just received my first ever top and bottom quilts.. and while I don't have anything else to compare them to, I can't imagine there being much better out there. They were the last pieces needed for my setup before I could go hang. Hopefully I'll get some time this week to get everything tweaked and sorted before going out camping in a week or two.

Thanks again George!!

Thank you EP! It's a privilege and pleasure to be able to craft products that perform as well as they look. Feel free to share some hang shots from Japan :shades:

You will not be disappointed. George makes wonderful quilts. I had the occasion this past weekend to use my ghost pepper quilt for the first time in months. Over the summer I had used my costco throw set. Sleeping under the ghost pepper is just so warm and comfy. The quality astonishes me every time I break it out. Congratulations on the great gear, you're going to enjoy it.

Beautiful quilts! You should post more photos of them in the field once you take them out. :)

I definitely will! I plan on going to the local park and setting everything up there, as I still have to get my tarp completely set up as far as the tie outs and everything else. And I want to get some practice in setting up the top and bottom quilts.

Unfortunately one drawback to living in Japan is finding places near our apartment to set my gear up.

Those are gorgeous...and a perfect match for my gear. I need both of those...copying is a form of flattery, right? :)

Yes, more pics please.

It sure is.. =)

That's why I posted the pictures. Give people an idea of what colors look like together since he has so many options to choose from. I will say I really like the BQ orange with the falling leaves.. I did the TQ more for my wife as she really likes purple.

I should be able to put some more pics up in a couple of days when I get home. Sucks working shift work away from my family sometimes.. but, I do get long weekends.

Was finally able to get out to the large city park near our apartment to finish getting my gear setup. Work and weather made getting out difficult.

Honestly.. Japan has these giant killer hornets that seem to be attracted to black, so I went the complete opposite. Don't want those things anywhere near me. =D

How many weeks did it take for your quilts to ship out?

Ordered July 10th... Shipped Oct 2nd. So12 weeks. Exactly what he said it would be when I ordered them.

I was finally able to get out last night and get my very first hang in.. Had to find a different place to stay since the free camp site near my apartment had a washed out road after a couple of typhoons dumped a ton of rain over the last couple of weeks. Ended up driving up a back road and camped in some tall cedar trees. Temperatures were around 10c(50f). Was not cold at all.

Unfortunately I didn't get any photos as it was late when we got there and had limited light to set up.

did get a nice photo on the way out though..

Thank you! My friend and I are heading out next week to do a couple day hike around Dorogawa-Onsen in Nara Prefecture. I'll get some pics and some video of the area and post them up... guess I should probably start a new post for those in another section. Hopefully I can get some good scenic views of Japan for you guys.
