Looking at the website synthetic quilts don't seem to be available any longer.
George, can you tell me when it will be back up? Was hoping to order one for use in June/July

Sorry about not replying to this immediately. It's kind of a sore spot because it's such a great product, but I can't be the only one who makes these. The binding we use is better than the other grosgrains that are out on the marker; stronger and lighter. The downside is that it will not feed through a binding attachment. It rolls within 6", so it has to be bound by hand. Hand binding through Apex 6.0 takes a certain amount of grip strength, which my girls do not have. I am currently testing a slightly heavier binding and if that works, then I may release them again in the future.

Interesting, I certainly understand your predicament.

I'm just glad I got mine before they stopped being made. It's really a great UQ.

Have you tried just regular bias tape or slit shell fabric? Some of the backpacking vendors use this method for their stuff.
It's still a bit of a mystery to me (other than production value) on why so many hammock vendors use grosgrain bindings (or bindings at all).
I use channels made of shell fabric, though this is admittedly a hard way to go. I'd have to look harder at exactly what EE does, but it's something similar.

I've never used binder attachments but I've seen them in action... using a slippery nylon binding material may help 'eat' the thicker Apex as well.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the update. Looks like I'll be going with an EE Apex quilt for my summer choice.
