As you can see, SLD is getting their own sub forum. We mods will be working to move items into it over the next week or so. Please do feel free to begin post items that pertain to Simply Light Design here.
At the current time SLD does not have a representative that visits Hammock Forums so please direct any questions that you need vendor responses on to the web page.

I've always been a strong supporter of Jared, his products and his outstanding customer service. I really want to thank Dfurkiss and the mods for moving forward with this subforum so all things SLD are organized in one spot.
My own history with Jared goes back more than a few years, to my original order #4 and a few items I purchased from him. A few emails going back and forth regarding the offering of a hex tarp, led to me owning beta #1 of the Trail Haven tarp, which I still use to this day. The "Voyageur" hammock and a prototype hammock hot tent (no plans for production, but spacious for winter camping), also came about that way.
Jared has always kept a low-key profile and I truly respect that. I understand how he does business and it works for him. After all, customer satisfaction is key and he has certainly proven himself.

Again, I want to thank the mods for adding another fine cottage vendor like Jared at Simply Light Designs to the HF subforums.

Reading the "Simply Light Designs - Who I Am" probably explains why Jared has never appeared to be the one to want the sub-forum. It also paints a very clear picture of what one can expect and what I and others have experienced when it comes to doing business with Jared / SLD.

Congratulations, over the past several years I have purchased several items from SLD all have been shipped quickly and are very high quality.
Nice!!!! Jared's also made for me a very nice Voyager hammock with some extra hammock related gear.... Sent it DOWNUNDERWAY! Yep!!! Arrived in snappy record time...

A big thanks to the mods for putting this sub-forum together. I personally think Jared's work is very deserving. :thumbup:

Yeah, he once said to me that if he ever got a forum here it wouldn't be his method of choice of interacting with customers. It's nice that we have a place to discuss his stuff though.

Agreed I emailed him a few times with some probably stupid questions (on weekends too) and he emailed back crazy fast. As a consumer this is one thing a business can do to almost guarantee my business.
