Hey,

Just a little query I am sure someone can answer for me.

On the Loco Libre site it states that the 70 inch long quilt is good up to 5ft 6in but 70 inches is 5ft 8in, I am 5ft 9in and I never put my quilt past my shoulders(why would I put a down quilt over my head when my breath will make it damp) and most of the time up under my arm pits.
So I was wondering does it mean a 5ft 6in person if you want it up to the tip of your head or not and so would a 70in quilt do me fine?

somebody help me please.

It's all personal preference. The sizes listed are just general guidelines. You also need to consider that when lying down, your feet tend to drop (toes point downward). This adds some length to your body. Also, I don't like having my quilt pulling upward on my feet- I prefer my feet to have plenty of wiggle room. So for me I choose a longer quilt- but use the extra length at my feet, and not at my head.

Lastly, quilt length is measured from end to end with the quilt laid completely flat. You will lose a little length once the bottom has been cinched up.

Does that make sense?

Well 70 inches is 5'10" so you've got a little more to work with. ;)

All comes down to how they measure it... I'm also 5'9" and I've got an EE Enigma with spec'd length of 72" and it is plenty for me. I think 70" would also be okay, but hopefully somebody with experience with 70" LL quilts can chime in. My comparison is 'Ford-Chevy' at best.

Ah, the cinch up removes a few inches, that would make perfect sense Rweb, nice one.

Sounds like a 70in would probo fit me then as I don't believe I flex my toes too much and the loss of inches from the cinch up would be less than the length of my mellon. Excellent.

On really cold night I nearly always pull my quilt over my head. Quilt dry out really quickly and always keep an air hole to breath so the condensation isn't as bad as I would have thought.

My Ghost LL's are all standard and are a couple inches shorter than
stated length (even flat).Im 5'11 and doesn't quite come over
my head. I also like to pull quilt over my head sometimes.
I haven't had condensation issue but I never camp
below around 30 degrees. My favorite quilts!!
