Hi Guys,

I'm looking to build a Malaysian group here to organize camping trips. I see there are just a couple of posts by Malaysians here so if you are from Malaysia or even the surrounding region, do check in.

The thing is, Malaysia has a few social media groups etc. that cater to hammockers but they are mainly flooded by commercial trip advertisements and publicity events so it would be nice to have a thread where we can connect to make our own plans and organize our own trips.

I am not very experienced in the craft so hoping for some gurus to check in here too.

Chris.

Hi from Singapore here. Beautiful country you have, perfect for hammocking. I am not a guru, but just loves camping and the outdoors. I would love to join on a trip.

Hi, guys, I am likely to have a weekend in Singapore in April. Can also hop over to Johor if the camping is better.

Any interest?

That sounds like an excellent idea. I have never went camping in Johor, although there is the Gunung Pulai recreational forest close by.

Sounds like a plan. I am not familiar with the Johor area but would be fun to set something up. I am from the KL area so its about a 4.5hour drive (including stops) for me to get to Gunung Pulai. If that is your preference, please do set it up. If i can get the time to make the long drive to and fro, I'll definitely join in. Will be going for a quick overnighter up north this weekend tho. But thats just a couple of hours drive out of the city so no biggie

Hi guys I may not be able to plan a weekend trip to johor in April, but definitely can plan one for Singapore, sorry about this guys. The easiest would be Pulau Ubin, which is an island off the North coast of Singapore, it is just a 10 minutes trip there from Changi ferry terminal, and there are 2 campsites there that supports hammock camping. It is easily accessible and casual.
