I received a donation in the mail today from a user but the user did not put their name on the money order. That means I don’t know whom to put the donation towards. All the envelope has was a zip code for the return address.

If anyone recognizes that this was them, please let me know whom I can attach the donating status to?

Sounds like that person cares enough to donate to the upkeep of the forum, but it paranoid enough to NOT want to be recorded as such. My dad did this all the time when he was alive.
Unless someone comes up to claim, I wouldn't worry about it :)
Welcome back :)

For many reasons some folks wish to support but wish to remain anonymous. I think recognizing the donor the way you have is a nice big thank you!

Just as an aside I liked it when the gender of the member was anonymous, some how it put us on the same level, something about how we interact with people of the opposite gender...

No we are not. Man one would have to really stretch to take Ironfish45's post as political. Maybe you have been watching a little to much cnn.

I hope the donor contacts you Rick. Anonymous or not he/she deserves donating membership status for all the other forum access it provides.

Seems like your take on it, not mine.

Can we please hammocking?
Just the fact that you mentioned CNN kind of concerns me.

But if we're going to go that direction now please let me know so I can opt out.

Oh you stated "no we are not" that would have sufficed. The CNN thing was not necessary and kind of tipped me off to the truth.

Your profile carries a lot of weight message received.

So where are we going with this?
Are we going to start bringing up gender, race all that great stuff that is creating a gap or are we going to keep to hammocking?

I personally don't want to waste my time on this forum if that is where we going to go.

I very much have enjoyed my stay here and come here to get away from it all. I have even purchased a Tensa4 stand, two actually, and other items but will not stay here if we are to get political.

Again your status carries weight.

What say you?

Editing to clean up my post so I don't contribute to the negative.

I'm not sure how asking to keep politics off the board in acting foolish? And to have an admin responding in the manner you are is quite surprising really.

Gender is indeed.a political topic and the member seemed to want to share their opinion on the subject. I do not see any reason to entertain those that engage in such conversation.

But if that is how you treat members please delete my account.

What's ironic is that you're saying you don't want to get into those topics, which is pretty much exactly what IRONFISH said in the original comment that set you off, leading to this utter derailing of the thread. It's a pretty extreme tangent this has gone down. Mods should probably just shut 'r down.

My point is simply I like each of us just a voice. An opinion a completely anonymous opinion.

We humans make a lot of judgements based on looks and gender. I just really enjoy that by being just a voice we are all on a level platform.

I am not involved in any political agenda. I have found when people are able to communicate thoughtfully without identifiers the communication takes on different characteristics.

I am surprised my comment brought on so much discussion, I simply stated something special about HF I personally like very much and I think is a rare find.

We are all so sensitive these days.

That's true. I thought that was happening only here and in Europe.
