Registered Users can now read and post in the Donating Members area for the month of December.
As a gift from the Moderators and Administrators at Hammock Forums we have opened up the Donating Members forums for the month of December to all registered users.

Merry Christmas

I had thought that there would be a greater response to Roundtable being open to all but so far not much has happened. It would be great if more members would bring up their old posts and start a few more conversations that other members were not part of.

I just found out its 3:30pm on Thursday. I also just posted the announcement on the facebook page.

I am not certain on how to get the word out when you have only one person looking at roundtable and no one checking announcements at the same time 76 people are checking DYI.

And donating members get a free month added on to their memberships?:lol:

Maybe a large percentage of HF just are not interested in the sub group.

I feel the message that the forum is now open is very clear--- BIG RED LETTERS clear.
Not sure what else might work short of a individual personal invitation to each non paid member.

Not that it wasn't as obvious as the admins could make it, but it really depends on how a person uses the forum. I didn't see anything about it until yesterday when a recent post to the original showed up high enough in the "new posts" section since the last time I visited.

I don't "enter" HF through the main page or really browse threads. A click on my bookmark takes me directly to the "new posts" section where I can browse anything new posted since my last visit. Of course... if I haven't visited in a few days and there are 250+ new posts... I likely won't browse back through ALL of them. I get a summary email to the particular threads I've subscribed to as well, but that leaves a lot of holes for posts to fall through.:shades:

I'm sure there are a lot of people too that only visit the forum when they see something of interest in the email digest of the particular threads they subscribed to.

I just tuned in to see what had been posted since my last view---Big Red Heading caught my attention.

I do read the "Announcements" from time to time, maybe once or twicw a week I check for something new.

I just figured this out today! I've been wanting to post there. I will be donating soon once my bank account recuperates from buying a complete hanging set up.
