View Full Version : Valens maybe hang November 2020 - just throwing it out there.
Hey y'all just made a call to Valens and they confirm first come first serve after Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving.... :) ) but are limiting 6 persons per individual site.
Washrooms open but no showers facilities. No particular weekend in mind as of yet but thought I'd throw it out there for interest's sake with apologies to LMB, Cap'n jcksaparow and J'Bug. :(

I would be interested. We have been on that site twice this summer with family sharing the outdoors when things were a bit more positive looking.
We don't need no stinking showers lol That only helps enforce the distancing.

I'd be up for some social distance hammock time at Valens

If my root canal goes well, Im going in for fri and sat night.
If theres pain I will do my crying at home alone.
Gotta go in at least for sat night,req grilled meat,fire,fresh air and some space ! Cabin fever is setting in. (not covid )

Have fun! Cap'n & J'Bug are on their way up for an EGL style backyard hang this weekend. I'm smoking a brisket for tomorrow.

I did actually go in sat night for the blue moon thing. Seemed like just another full moon to me.

Unfortunately no friends. :(
Pretty much any nov weekend is good for me.
I can do Saturday night this weekend the 7th if that works for folks - see whoever's there there!!

*sigh* I miss a good Valens hang. :closedeyes: Our country is such a hot mess. Looking forward to the eventual day it is both permissible and prudent to venture north of the border again!

I'd prefer a table with a view, cold and dripping with rain, but I could put up with a dry bench in a pinch.

I'm actually passing through with some cycling friends on Friday night and will be setting up camp in the usual area if it's available. If anyone decides to show up early maybe we'll cross paths.
Edit: if not, maybe I'll see some of ya if there's a January hang?

That was an awesome and much needed hang time!

Ditto! It was good seeing those I saw and sad missing those I missed. Didn't stay the night (weird, nylon, cocoon dwellers) but kinda wish I did.
Finally managed to walk the boardwalk trail with a couple of very nice people although we never did find the Timmies.

Was a great day for a quick hike around the lake. Seems Tim's and hiking are a popular combo. Was hard to physically distance on that bridge! I wonder if it has a capacity lol. Thanks for the much needed socialization, even the little this introvert did was good for the soul.

Wish I was paying more attention to the thread. Hope everyone is doing well.Darn! I was just wondering if we were still doing Valens this Fall, recalling Niagara's original post. Unfortunately forgot to "Follow" it & missed all this until today.
