Well in the past couple week I have gotten a few requests for a quilt option with more coverage. So with a little bit of tinkering and a bit of modification the XL's were born. The First that I have gotten ready for prime time is the XL New River. I have added a good bit to the width with a finished size of 56 inches wide! This size is only available as a long quilt. And on many hammocks will be over-sized depending on the user. So far the test user of the XL NR has had it down to 38 degrees on a Switchback and said it worked great. So I am going to make this a standard option. I know that there are a good number of folks that like to have extra room to spread out, sprawl and stretch, or for the big guys that want more coverage than most of the smaller quilts on the market will offer. An XL version of the Lost River will be available within the next couple weeks as well.

Hmm, is the XL lost river going to be slightly longer as well?

Very nice Paul! Have you decided when you are going to go the down fill route?

Arrowhead is currently the only cottage company that offers synthetic underquilts. Switching to down would place him in an already crowded market segment. If he offered down as option and still keep the synthetic versions, that might be a better option.

At least that is my 2 cents worth on the matter.

Cheers

Brian

At one point he had mentioned that he might try the down but still keep the Synthetic's as the stable!

Is the New River primarily a TQ or UQ?

That looks like one big quilt. Very nice. What does the long edition weigh?

The New River is an underquilt and the long version weights 32 oz. I also got the Insultex sewn in so mine weighs more.
