Both JRB and Warbonnet have great quilts in stock and no lengthy waiting period. JRB has a big sale going on until May 18. Warbonnet has his Black Mamba Winter Regular on sale for $50 off right now.

I like my Black Mamba, for the most part. Haven't tried a Perfect Trees though.
Warbonnet may still have some prototype Mambas. Why no one has snapped them up is beyond me?

I recently bought the blackbird and the super fly. I think I will stick to that theme and go with the black mamba. I will sleep on it and place my order in the morning.

I've seen the Warbonnet Mamba and it looks really nice, I have a GoLite Ultra20 and love it, but the new version is not the same.
Can't really go wrong with any of the JRB quilts either.

I only have the JRB HR and its a great quilt. Like someone else said, you really can't go wrong with any of the top quilts that have been mentioned.
Love my JRB Hudson River for chilly nights. And a synthetic I made for 40* and up.

I have the older, Maui Blue Go Lite Ultra for most of my 3-season camping. When it gets into the winter I love my Marmot Helium sleeping bag opened as a quilt. When it is fluffed up and open, it is so wide that I can practically double it up on top of me and easily takes me down to 0.
I bought a Black Mamba and LOVED it, but it was just too small for my large frame. I like to have the quilt wrap around me and the Mamba just wasn't wide enough... but if I were smaller it would absolutely be my go-to in any situation.

My DIY climashield quilt. It's light, good down to about 30 degrees and wide enough to handle all the thrashing around that I do while I'm exercising, I mean sleeping.

I have the JRB Hudson River for 3 season and the Old Rag Mountain for winter. They work real well for me.

Same here, love my 17.2 oz DIY climashield/momentum quilt. Of course I sized it for ME and how I want one to fit with a gusset high up at my thighs! Fits like a glove!
I've actually slept in the thing down to near freezing temperatures (3.7 Combat insulation) It was a long, chilly night, to say the least, but was glad I made it through.
Well the Owyhee (http://arrowheadequipment.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1313864) of coarse :D But I might be a little biased.
Who makes your favorite top quilt?
Me! Rayway DIY kit. Very light, very warm, has lasted 5 years and many, many nights so far.
I make my favorite on but it is a JRB clone
