Well if you've not gathered by now I'm a fan of Stormcrow's Crowsnest. I first got to use mine in Linville Gorge this past May. Amazingly light weight, well made and everything I wanted in a 3/4 UQ.
So ... just had to put together one my bits of foolishness. Hope ya enjoy it and get a chuckle or two.
Adam ... I love it ... especially since I have the one and only Gorge Rat Limited Edition model! ;)

Goodness gracious! That was awesome!
Thank you so much Hawkeye! Man, you make some of the best movies..even when you are not talking about my stuff.
I can't believe you leaked my new camouflage fabric :scared: Well, I suppose I could not keep it a secret much longer. It was pretty hard to source that one out. I had to pull some strings with some people that are "high up", if you know what I mean. The worst thing about the fabric is actually making the quilt. I have NO idea if my double stitching is straight or not...;)
I DO look forward with see you all again soon!...;)

fun stuff. I think i may need to get a crowsnest UQ with out the new camo. I would never find it and my son could truly say he did not touch it.
Camo? Might be time to consider another UQ.

Hey pal ... loving the UQ ... and sorry about the technology leak! Could you ask the mothership to leave the swamp behind the house ... it's freaking out the dogs! :woot:
Looking forward to seeing you again my friend ... need to get your technique for "pot smut" down!
LOL! Awesome video. :)

Yeah I've already misplaced it myself! Come to think of it ... my boy Spencer the Cairn is missing, hmmmmm ;)
Glad you enjoyed it.

Can't go wrong with a Crowsnest ... but ya might have to put a locator beacon on that one! :woot:
Love the camo, Hawk-eye. :) I need some of that when my wife comes looking for me to complete her honey-do list.
I need one more underquilt to outfit the family. I have a Leigh's, I recently bought a used Yeti, and it looks like I need a Crowsnest to round out the bunch. That is one fluffy underquilt.
Thanks for the video. BTW, is everyone on HF an expert videographer?! :)

Why thank ye ... yeah the Crow's got a bit of an attitude but he does like a good A.Fuente ;)
I do believe that new fabric is woven from UnObtanium thread in an old Liver Mush mine deep in Linville Gorge. That is why Adam was hiking so fast. He had to check on production while in the area........

Great video loved it, could not agree more about Adam and his products. and to Adam if the Liver Mush Mine story is true this explains a lot.
I have two of his products and expect a third before cold weather and I have gone over both stitch by stitch ,not to be critical but in admiration, it just does my sense of balance good to see such detail work so well implemented,, I mean really they are that good .
The crow was smoking a cigar because you had already smoked all the good stuff! Just kidding. Love the video! I was envious of you looking all comfortable in the hammock!

That camo is untouchable. Don't sleep neckid under it .... some colors will show through.
What a fun morning movie ..... has me all "Gorgey" as I sit here.
Thanks for the time and effort Hawk-eye. Top shelf stuff!!!!!!!!

Yessir .... may be off to the Northern Hang this weekend if I can get all I need done. Pressure is on!!!!!
It ain't no Linville Gorge but has it's own draw. Plus HF'ers there. Plus sleeping in a hammock in the piney woods.
I still dwell on the time in May in the Gorge.........

Great video! Just the shot in the arm I needed to brighten up a otherwise boring day. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.
Yet another reason to NEVER be drinking or eating while watching a HF video or reading a HF thread.
A cigar smoking crow!! :D
I agree, most who have hiked at the same time as Adam do feel he is at least super human. As you say, "No one hikes WITH Adam" you say, see you later as you leave camp, "hibyAdam" as he rockets past you on the trail, usually taking the long way around, then "Hey Adam, how long you been here" when you stagger in to camp. In other words, he is a joy to watch & a great pleasure to camp with!!
Saving up my pennies for a 3 season 3/4 quilt, or, as I call it, a winter quilt.

He's good people and a has a great sense of humor ... two very important attributes in my book! Even if he is an alien hybrid! :woot:

Making particular colors invisible is a higher end feature of video editors, something like Adobe After Effects. I thought you were using budget software. ?

Great video :D
Made my morning :D
I think the camera has taken a liking to you
Props - ya' gotta love props. Where on Earth (?) did that crow come from? Is it ET like Adam?
Looking forward to the sequel :scared:
PS - I got a bunch of feathers from Stormcrow. If my stitching is a 10th as good I'll be happy.

Thanks RF ...high praise from my favorite Gorge Ninja! ;)
The old crow is an old puppet I've had around for years from back when the kids were little. Modified with a "breathing tube" ;)
He will be back in some capacity or other for sure!

Thanks! They're a lot of fun to do and I wanted to plug Stormcrow's work ... it's really ... really a nice product. Sometimes when you buy something ya know it's OK ... it works ... but ... hard to get excited about, especially if you shelled out a lot of bucks.
This is one of those purchases like my BB or mod's Donna and Tim have made for me that just make you feel good about the purchase. This is going to be a big part of my kit for a long time! You'll never see my Crowsnest listed on the "FOR SALE" string!
cool video. Love the crow with a cigar.
Those look like cool quilts.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Rather fond of working with the Crow! Now just have to keep him out of my GOOD cigars! ;)
The quilt is cool (in a warm sort of way!) ... it really is. Aside from liking to make these goofy videos ... I wouldn't have made one about Stormcrow's work if I wasn't actually that happy about it. Well more than happy about it.
Not going to ever bash someone's work ... I'd rather just not say anything ... or just share my opinon privately. On the other hand good work, good service ... good value ... that's worth shouting about ... especially these days!
We are fortunate to have a good group of cottage industry guys linked here through HF ... I like that!
