Ok after looking around and reading a lot of posts i have finally designed my own bug net. The first bug net i made i kinda had a design but just winged it and it didnt come out so well. Might post some pics of that one.

How are you going to get in it?

I'm interested in seeing details on the bottom closure works. By me it has to seal up tight or the little buggers will get in.

Hey Z, 3 yards is only 9 feet, is your hammock short?
Minus your hems is 8'-10", give or take. Set up your hammock and measure before you cut.

Personally, I prefer a full coverage net, I don't want a chance skeeters can find their way in. Maybe a full sock with zipper entry?

I don't see it????
There's no top to the net hovering over you in the hammock.
Looks like a bug net UQ....

It's 3x3 but then he hangs it on the diagonal to it's 4.24 yards along the ridge.

Instead of the shock cord closure you could sew on omni tape or velcro.

Knotty you are right about the diagonal bit. I was trying to find a way to get the most out of 54" in. wide noseeum and was having a hard time. Also i didnt want to waste alot of fabric cutting and resewing.

One thing i forgot to mention is that this requires a ridgeline. Also with this design you can add a zipper/velcro to the bottom or just seal up the bottom and add a zipper to the front of it.
