i dont know if anyone has recommend it but a search engine. Im having alot of trouble trying to find things(me being new to the website)

I keep a bookmark to Google with the following already in place:
site:hammockforums.net
Then I type in whatever I'm looking for, e. g.: "UCR" and click Search. It seems to work a bit better than the HF search function, and it accepts terms with fewer than 4 characters. (We have a lot of 3-letter abbreviations.)
