I found this fabric at joanne's fabric last weekend and an not fully sure of what it is.

From the small squares i figure its micro ripstop or at least mini ripstop.
The shiny side is coated i think and the material is 100% polyester.
Also it says its waterproof.

So... assuming I am not having one of my "moments"

60 in is 1.67 yd

1.35 lb is 21.6 oz

(1.67 yd) x (5 yd) = 8.33 sq yd

(21.6 oz) / (8.33 sq yd) = 2.6 oz per sq yd

Its a little on the heavy side, but that may not matter for you. I am interested to see what you make of it.

Just looking at the picture it reminds me of one of my dry bags I use for kayaking.

Looks like pu coated fabric based on the shiny-ness. I have some ripstop looking polyester in grey. It's uncoated. It's squares are about the size of 1.1 oz ripstop nylon, but the fabric is much heavier than 1.1 oz. Probably a little above 2 oz per square yard.

Is it 100% air proof ? => waterproof.

I was thinking packcover/gear hammock/weather shield and maybe a tarp.
