A real deal on toggles [Archive] - Hammock Forums - Hammocks and hammock camping

Sorry folks. All the toggles have been spoken for. I will do this again when the stock builds back up. Thanks for everyone's response!!!

Here’s the deal – We make our toggles from Easton aluminum arrow shafts size 300/2317. They are lathe cut to 2.5”. The toggles here are from the logo portion of the shaft unlike the ones we sell that do not have any logos on them. There is a 7/64” hold drilled on one end. They do NOT have a spliced loop like the ones we sell on our website.

The following quantities are available on a first come – first serve basis to members located within the USA. Limit of one pair per member.

(14) pairs – black - ALL GONE :(
(3) pairs – digital camo - ALL GONE :(
(2) pairs – camo - ALL GONE :(

We are basically giving them away and all we ask is that you mail a letter size self-addressed stamped envelope for return shipping. Since I don't know everyone's real name, please add either your screen name or color desired to the return address portion of the SASE. Please send to:

Please place a reply (I do not need a PM) in this thread if you are sending a SASE and state color preference. I will do the best I can to monitor this thread and update quantities available but one should be able to see that from the replies.

One first class stamp will do the trick on the self-addressed return envelope. I weighed a letter sized envelope with 2 toggles and it was less than an ounce. So the Post Office says $.44 for domestic mail and you're good to go!.

Ridgewalker was the first! Got his envelope today and his toggles went right out. I'm sure the others will be rolling in soon.

Darn the Post Office!!! I guess they can't see or read FRAGILE. New ones on their way to you in a high-strength padded envelope like I normally use with orders.

I think, and maybe wrong, that letter size mail goes through a sorting machine. If that is the case, it must not like the size of the toggles.

Roadrunner, you are correct. My Postmaster told me that is the case unless marked FRAGILE. If marked FRAGILE, they are supposed to be hand sorted.

SmokeBait, NJ is feelin' the toggle-love. My toggles arrived today and they look great. They're a nice small diameter and they have a hole drilled through so you can attach them to your straps. Well done. Thanks again for this great offer.

So after the post office lost a set of toggles, I got my second set, thank you again SmokeBait, I go to use them this weekend. I keep my stuff in a bowl in the kitchen, so I know where it is. I look in the bowl, and there is only one. I start asking around the house and I get an, "I didn't know what that was, I asked the kids and they didn't know, so I threw it away." Needless to say I was unhappy. Off to the the garbage can I go. So at the bottom of the trash bag, under several old banana peals, I found my missing toggle :) They are now under lock and key.
