My new Baby Orca came in today..Can't wait to get out and try it, HOPEFULLY this weekend. This thing doesn't weigh ANYTHING. Looks well built. I can't tell it's even in my hands. Here she is on my Clark NA.

I just got mine last week and am dying to get out and use it! I've also ordered the Light Hiker Bed Roll - throughly impressed with IX at this point!

Thanks for sharing the pics!

I'm thinking a light Hiker bedroll MAY be in my future too. I'm impressed with IX as well. I'll know a little better when it gets colder, it's 60 degrees right now and I was PLENTY warm.

It really does, I'm going to try it on my bb tonight, I'm hoping it works on the hammock papa smurf is making me. It will help me on my quest for a 10lb pack

Just got mine. Wow really lite! Hope to test it this weekend. I remember seeing some video somewhere where Mac installed the UQ a certain way. Like one side of the Orca for the foot side and one for the shoulder? Does anyone know if it even matters which way you orient the Orca when installing?

Black Tabs toward the head.

I just got home and looked at it again. It doesn't have any black tabs only white!

Looking at it more closely, one of the ends has a steeper slope than other, I'm guessing that's the head end?

Can any one steer me straight?

Mine have 2 black tabs where the shock cord attaches and 2 white tabs where the shock cord is attched.
Edit: It is only one black tab and it appears to be at the wider end of the UQ. Hope this helps

There should be one black tab at the head end, If not, we goofed. Look for two small lines of stitching on the inside, this attaches the Torso Heater to the interior layer. The line of stitches closet to the end represents the head end. Hope this helps.

Yes, I see them. They position the tubes closer to the head end. Also, I notice with my Orca that the head end appears to have a steeper angle then the foot end.

Thanks for clarifying,
