my custom made, full length+, synthetic under quilt from Wilderness Logics arrived today.:D the WL team put together a very sweet coyote UQ with some extra loops down the sides that will allow me to configure that baby several ways.
this is my first UQ so i wanted one that would cover as many of the conditions that i have experienced or can foresee.
i haven't been able to hang it yet, i'll be doing some trial fitting Thur after work.
i will be taking a bunch of pix then and will proudly post them before the weekend.
thanks Marty and Wilderness Logics.:D

i had 10 extra loops added, some over stuff and over size (78 x 48). mine was a prototype and i paid 175. they might add the full length to their web site. marty told me they hadn't settled on a final price yet for their full length.

i checked on the weight for y'all. 78x48 + xtra loops = 33oz.
i'll take some pix this afternoon and post them this evening.

i really like this UQ. it fits the foot box on my BB like a glove/sock, very well.
i had the guys at Wilderness Logics add some extra loops down each side so i can add a secondary shock cord. that will let me hang it as a 3/4, 2/3 and add a pull loop so i can pull it into place when those warm evenings lead into cool mornings about 3am.
i will attempt to fully test it this weekend.
Mother's day will be a higher priority but i might be daydreaming about a UQ test.

Nice setup Flatline! That Coyote Brown UQ really looks good on that BB. I got a feeling Marty will be extra busy making some more of these custom quilts.

thanks BackTrack, Marty and crew @ Wilderness Logics do mighty fine work, they customized this quilt to my exact specs.
one of my hanging buddies is so impressed that he is going to be ordering one next week.
i'll be ordering a top quilt this fall.

That certainly looks toasty! Any idea how low it will go?

it's rated to 30* but it feels like it will go down to the "teens". i really won't be able to test that until about Jan. it kinda makes me look forward winter this year.

I see they have added the full length UQ to their product line. I will be ordering one this week end. Like you I will have to wait for it to cool off to give it a real test and it will not cool off here until after Turkey day. Its going to be a long 6 months

what do you think of the loops i had them add on the sides?

Seems like a good idea, only time will tell

i might have them make me an additional over quilt that i can attach to the loops that would go over the top of the hammock. sort of a convertible
"pod"

Don't think that would work with a BB but it has me looking at my ENO DN in a new light.

you're right, it would be tuff on the BB, but not imposable. flip the net over the SRL and let the shelf hang inside the UQ

Good idea, ....thinking outside the footbox

i just ordered a an UQ for my good friend. he tried mine and thought very highly of it.
he will be retiring at the end of the school year. i know an UQ will get more use than a rocking chair.
