Some of you may have noticed that there has been some new sections added to the forums. Those new sections include:

Socks & Travel Pods (http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=50)

Bug Nets (http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=51)

Support Systems (http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=52)

Ridge Lines (http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=53)

Attroll added these new sections to help reduce some of the clutter in the General Hammock Talk and other forums. It will also make information easier to find for both new and old memebers.

Over the next few days threads will be moved into their appropriate forums so this may mess up some of your bookmarks.

Ideas -

1 - Maybe the 'Ridgelines' category should be moved from the 'Hammock Camping' section to the 'Hammock Accessories' section. It would fit better there, IMO.

2 - The 'Hammock Manufactures' section name has long been a misspelled eyesore. Can we get that renamed to 'Hammock Manufacturers'?

3 - In the misspelled 'Hammock Manufactures' section, there is a category called 'Camo Jungle Hammock'. Who makes that? I think that should be removed and it's posts added to the 'Tom Claytor's Hammocks' category.

4 - The 'Hammocking Camping' section - shouldn't that either be 'Hammock Camping' or 'Hammocking'?

5 - In all of the category names, some of the second words are capitalized and some are not, seemingly at random. Consistency would be nice.

...I'm sure I'll think of more

One more for the list -

The new 'supports systems' category should probably be 'support systems'.

Angrysparrow my misspelled posts have to just drive you crazy. I'm going to start proofreading them before I submit for you mental well being.

i love the spell check feature on a bar at the top of my screen.
i just get confused when no words change colors to show that they are misspelled:confused: ...then eventually i look up & see that it's telling me that "no spelling errors were found" ...that always catches me off guard<G>.

Thanks for the thought ;)

Actually, mispellings and incorrect grammar in posts doesn't bother me that much. It's only when it comes to official headings and titles that I find it annoying. Probably because I have to look at those over and over again.

I used some of the new sections last night and found what I was hunting quickly. The new sections do make it easier to navigate and search the topics they cover. Kudos.

This has been discussed before, but can we get RSS enabled on this site? Is it even possible with the Forum software?

RSS feeds are already enabled on this site. What is it you want?

Here is an RSS feed:

That's great! I just didn't see the traditional RSS icon, so I didn't know it was available.

Thanks!

I am using IE for a browser and it has the RSS icon in the header on the browser. FireFox also has the RSS icon to the right in the URL address you can click on. I hope this helps also.
