Greetings All,

I have been a lurker/ infrequent poster on this site for some time. I got into hammocks about a year and a half ago and have utilized the expert and friendly advice of the members here to compile a good, lightweight rig for myself, primarily for use on my upcoming AT thru-hike. I'll be heading SOBO starting July 6th :D, and thought I'd share a link to my journal I'll be keeping. I always like stumbling upon journals from other hammock campers and thought some of you would enjoy reading.

If link doesn't work, go to postholer.com and search for user name zanaridg

Again, thanks for all of the hammock-related help. I don't think I would be carrying a hammock for the AT if it wasn't for this site!

Awesome! Looking forward to following your journal. When you get close to Maryland, I'll try to catch you for a short hike, or at the least some trail goodies!

Have a great hike and thanks for the link to your journal!
Might just see you in Sept. Our little trio will be just south of Shenadoah and we tend to see a lot of Sobo's on our hike. Be safe!

Good luck on your thru! As of now I'm planning to start NOBO March 1st. Still getting my gear dialed in and of course saving up the pennies. Have fun

Hi Dom,

Will be headed SOBO beginning June 23rd...Maybe see ya out there if you catch up to my wife and I.

I have to agree about this statement:

'I don't think I would be carrying a hammock for the AT if it wasn't for this site!'

Same here.

Best of luck!

Just read your journal - what a great trip! Thanks for sharing with us. Poison ivy is a real pain, sorry you got it so badly.
