TARPS -
We recently introduced a new line of cat-cut Cuben Fiber tarps for you hangin' folks. Currently, the page is set up for the 4 door (4 Season) tarp with options for panel tie outs. Once Stormcrow gets the dimensions for the Hex Tarp(no doors), I'll get it up on the site, as well. Email us regarding the Hex tarp, in the meantime. :) We also don't have a lot of pictures up yet, since I am having a few issues getting them to behave on the webpage. No worries, I should have them up in no time.

Note: Tarp orders are already coming in fast and furious.:scared: Please be patient as we adjust the workshop to the new load and streamline the process in the next few weeks. We should have it down once we establish a good pace.

SPECS:
CT1K.08 Cuben Fiber
10'10" Ridgeline
8.5' Wide
13' Overall length with doors
6.5' Length of center of catenary cut

Hi NewtonGT,

This is our first quilt that uses a sewn though design. This means that there are no baffles inside the quilt. The outer shell is sewn directly to the inner shell. In quilts rated for cooler temperatures this type of construction is considered risky because there is no goose down insulation along the sew lines. Cold spots would likely generate in those areas. This is not much of an issue for a quilt rated to only 45-50 degrees though.

We have increased the number of chambers in the summer quilt to minimize the migration of goose down.

Thanks everyone! :boggle:

guess it will be based on how cold you sleep. Hamhocker has been using my old Speer Top quilt rated at 50°. It is a sewn thru-construction and works great for her. She is a cold sleeper but being in Tn it doesn't get to the point of needing a 40° top quilt in the summer time.

We have one on order for her. Kinda of funny but I had asked them to make me a sewn thru-consturction top quilt right before they announced they would be making them.

Now I am waiting for them to make a sewn thru-construction underquilt rated at 50 or so degrees. Again in the south no need for a underquilt rated at 40°

I probably need to go light since I have a 3 Season Incubator under me. And I am a cold sleeper so I don't want to go too Light. But I love the idea of having less to carry! I'm still using a sleeping bag right now. I used a JRB last year borrowed from MedicineMan that I'm pretty sure was a summer weight. I was OK in it but I don't remember the temp rating.
