You got yourself a pretty new piece of gear coming your way. I'm saving my pennies now for a UL summer TQ/UQ from hammock gear. I keep telling my self patience. :)

Oh how I do not envy those of you who are waiting but rest assured, their junk is worth the wait! I can't get over the fact that it is still possible to buy quality handmade gear made in the US by people who care and use the stuff they make. Good stuff.

How long is the wait if I order a incubator now?

JalapeņoBen
07-20-2011, 21:20
I think the wait is 1-2 weeks, probably leaning past the 2 week mark. Give them a call or shoot them an email!

Got the email that my Summer Phoenix shipped yesterday! Wahoo!! Only bad part is I will be in Florida when it arrives... so now I will have to wait about 4 days before I get to set it up! Ahhhhh! At least gear will be waiting for me at home, and that's a great feeling!

I ordered the same thing as you, order number 772. I'm guessing at the rate that people are ordering and the fact that mine has to clear customs that it will be a month before I see mine. Might be fall by the time I get it, maybe I should have ordered the 3 season...

They must have done one big shipment- mine shipped today as well!

I ordered a 3 season Burrow on July 5th, if that helps anyone else figure out how long they might have.

I am # 765. I ordered a 3S Incubator with 1 oz overfill on July 20 and just got my shipping notice. It should be here Friday!!!

I'm trying hard not to order a Summer Phoenix as well.....that might get harder after looking the Incubator over.

Are these only made as orders come through?
Are you charged immediately on order? Or charged when the items are sent.

JalapeņoBen

They are made as each order is received... you can email them with any questions. You are charged when you place your order. I think right now it's about a 2-3 week turnaround from order placement to shipped.

Ok. Was considering ordering a 3-season top quilt, by the sounds of it, it will not turn up before winter ends for us. Think I'll give it a miss, maybe order one next year, in time for our winter.

JalapeņoBen

Email or call them... they can work with deadlines if it's reasonable. Just gotta ask!

The sewn-through quilt is so light that is almost not there. It is replacing the fleece throw that I have used as a TQ in summer temps. I had a chance to test hang last Sunday afternoon, but the day was so blasted hot that I couldn't snuggle down under it for very long. I plan on an urban hang this Friday and Saturday so I may be able to put it to real world use.

A thought came to me yesterday: I can nest the 45-50 degree Burrow TQ inside my 3-season Burrow TQ to extend the temperature rating. True, it will not be the lightest solution, but it will work for me.

I am # 793!

I placed my order 7/29.

Adam is whipping up a 45 - 50 F Burrow quilt using some M90 that I had shipped to him from Thru-Hiker. Velcro closure at the bottom with a single snap at the top of the Velcro and 1 oz of overfill.

I cannot wait for it to get here...

The next thing I get will be a 3 season Phoenix UQ...

Yeah! Now I am # 835 too... :)

what's your expected weight of the TQ wiht m55?

SticksBlog
08-17-2011, 23:50
Actually, it is M90. I didn't want to spend that much for the m55... I have got to spread the $$$ out... :)

But it is listed at 12.2 oz. I figure the M90 will drop almost an oz, however I added an oz of overfill so I am imaging it will be between 12 - 12.5 oz. However, considering my GoLite weighs 27 oz, I am not complaining! I should be able to tell you soon though. Jenny just told me that the quilt will ship out either Friday or Monday...

Now I will be holding my breath for the new cuben UQ...

I used my new underquilt for the first time this past weekend at Stone Mountain State Park. I love it. Thank you so much to hammockgear.com for a top notch product.
