View Full Version : Littlebogg gets got something special in the mail today!!!!!
Well I put an ad on here looking for two sets of Dutch Clips and the Man himself answered me. He hooked me up with what I needed. I jokingly told him that My Eleven year old said we had a deal if he would sign his set. My some wants to be an inventor when he grows up and thinks that Dutch is ultra cool because of the stuff he makes and the fact that he is the worlds greatest Backpacker. He also likes Hawkeye and Shug, He will watch them and read their posts here when ever he is here (I get him every other weekend). So in the mail today I got a Dutch wares package and when I opened it up there were two sets of Dutch Clips. But what was the coolest thing was that ONE OF THE Dutch clips was engraved on one side saying TO LITTLEBOGG and on the other PEACE DUTCH. Now I ask you how cool that is. Littlebogg is at his Mom’s this week but I will see him at his Scout meeting tomorrow and I will be taking them with me to show him. Thank you so much Dutch you will be making my little man super happy. And I know this will be one piece of gear he will cherish for a long time to come.

That is pretty darned cool. Its awesome to see that there are still really good people in the world. Seems to me that there are a lot those good people concentrated here in the forum.
there are people who make our lives better having them in it, Dutch is one of those on this forum, only thing beats first class i guess, is Dutch class

I think it will be amazing when he hands them down to his son or daughter and they ask: "Daddy, who is Dutch?" With a tear in his eye your son responds: "He was the greatest hiker there ever was!".............excellent job Dutch!!!!

Two thumbs up Dutch :thumbup: This is yet another shining example of what makes HF so great.
I had to share Bigbogg's post with my wife. When I was done, she looked at me like I'm a small child in need of small words to help guide me, which she does frequently. "Of course he did. Dutch is a class act." She is right, Dutch is a class act.
Littlebogg is going to remember this we we are all long gone and he's talking to his grandkids.
I don't know if I was more moved by Littlebogg's inspiration to be an inventor, or Littlebogg's dad for such a nurturing environment or Dutch's personal touch.
Break out the tissues and a hiker's hanky! ;)
