Just a quick note, which I'm sure you've already found out, Heesha. Half zip bags and hammocks are not compatible in any way, shape or form. I have one that I'm waiting very patiently to replace when I can afford it.

I agree hooch. I've had to do some fancy manuvering to get into mine. I just love my bag to much to let it go. I guess I'll have to get up the courage and know how to do one on my own. heescha, you might want to keep your bag and use it for what I call car camping (pulling up the care to the campsite and camping). I have a bag that is a slumberjack that I use just for that purpose. They work great because you don't have to worry about weight, and you don't have to take super good care of it either.

you could always cut & sew (or sew, then cut, to control the insulation) to remove the zipper & make the foot box the depth you want.

Or you could post it on another forum not focused on hammocking - like White Blaze - Selling Used Gear - WhiteBlaze (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=69)
