Got an email today from DD. They have some hammocks and some tarps with cosmetic blemishes at half the normal price.
Just got a new tarp so not really in the market but thought someone here might be interested.
Thanks for the heads-up :) I just got the 3x3m tarp for 30 punds with shipping to Denmark... Nice :D

Thanks!
I'm a newb in the process of purchasing my first hammock setup. I just ordered one of these seconds -- a 3x3 DD tarp. (So far I had also purchased "The Ultimate Hang" book and a set of seatbelt poly treestraps from strapworks.com.)
I had been looking at a Kelty Noah's tarp; it looks like this deal saved me some weight and money..

A great deal for those looking for a hammock set-up. The Frontline hammock with the 3m x 3m tarp is only $84 shipped. That sure is a good deal, and looks like a very nice set-up. :).

Indeed, on both counts. If I didn't already have a few DD Hammocks, I would be jumping on this. I have been very happy with my Frontlines.

ACK! I should have ordered the hammock as well. My tarp arrived already today, and to be honest I can't tell it is a second. I was ready to order the Frontline 2nd, and they are now sold out of all of the hammock seconds.
I was originally thinking of getting separate bug netting and hammock, but I had also decided I definitely want a double layer hammock. The Frontline 2nd was the cheapest way to buy a ready made DL, and I missed out!
I still got a killer deal on a very nice tarp, thanks again for the heads up!

mattblick I just discovered that I made the same mistake. I too was planning on ordering a Frontline 2nd. Oh well. I guess I will just have to remain a one camping hammock man for now.
Just got a seconds 3x3. Arrived quickly and like a kid on Christmas morning I ripped it open and hung it up in my living room. LOL. Absolutely no blemishes or faults that I could find. Great bargain!

I missed out on the Frontline hammocks, but I was able to get a couple of Travel Hammocks (minor compromise) with 3x3 tarps for a great deal. Hope to hang them this weekend. Many thanks for the tip.

Looks like they added the Poncho 2nds today - if anyone "needs" one of those. :D
My second 3x3 tarp had a little rip maybe 5mm long. No problem to fix
so I´m happy :)

My 'seconds' travel hammock arrived today. For the life of me I cannot understand the complaints I have seen on various sites, you tube, and some posts here about problems with threads. The stitching on my DD is tight and perfect. The hammock was a second because it is missing one of the five stick supports at the top of the fly. Yes, the stick support is the sealed end one, but I plan to buy some webbing and hand stitch it on tomorrow. The hammock itself looks great.
I also ordered a XL tarp from DD, and unlike the photos it is not in the least bit blue, but rather a lovely dark olive green, that will blend in perfectly with the bush. Quite lovely, nicely sewn, and well made.
I will post some pics when I get the kit up in the trees.

They added, and I snagged a 2nd of the Camping Hammock this morning :D $32 shipped across the pond.
I'll need to figure out bug protection and my first camping hammock system will be set!:woot::woot:
