They are still being cut, but I added to my site Whoopie hooks (http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/featured/whoopie-hooks/) which replace the whoopie bead with a hook stong enough to lift 1000 pounds yet only weighs 3.4 grams. They are made from titanium and they are machined to reduce any sharp edges on load bearing surfaces. They work great as a water break and you can seperate your supension and store it seperately if it is wet. I am making them available to order but they won't be done for a couple days. There are many ways to use these such as the traditional way a whoopie sling is used with the locked brummel on the hammock or you can invert them and put the locked brummel on the hugger. Worried you will leave them hanging on the tree, just add a Dutch clip and you will have a terrific all in one suspension.

Just received an order today of quilt clips, mini biners and ridge line lights. Now I have to make another order. Maybe I just need to paypal Dutch a couple of hundred dollars and every time he introduces something new he just ships them to me.

That's the best idea I've heard yet!

Yeah, why don't we all just "invest" in dutchware. We send him an annual fee, and everytime he makes a new product he ships it out to all the "investors" as our "return".

Well I just placed an order...not for the new hooks....a new pack cover. I haven't bought a pack cover in years---but to support Dutch Industies continual pursuit of the unique, the brilliant, the novel.......

Dude, wish I could come up with ideas like that and then make them to help pay for my hobby too.

Dutch - from your website: "They replace the whoopie bead with a hook that will “snap” on to 7/64ths amsteel."

would i be correct to assume that these hooks will only snap over a single strand of amsteel? as opposed to a double strand such as the bury in a chain link?

That is correct. I make teh connecting piece a 12" 7/64ths amsteel with a locked brummel on each end. If you use a continuous loop, you will want the bury to be on the larks head connecting it to the hammock or the webbing.
