Is the $9.99 40 degree 75x33 sleeping bag at Target any good for anything? Under blanket? Over blanket? etc?

i would suspect that it would be more suited for car camping. i have a strong feeling that the warmth to weight ratio would not be to good.
but who knows... if you decide to get it, be sure & let us know how cool of temps it will keep you warm in & how much it weighs.

Depending on the weight and bulk you could turn it into a quilt. I started a thread where I shaved a 28 oz summer bag down to 15 oz for a top quilt. With a little modifying I think you could turn it into a cheap underquilt.

Can you post a link to it? I looked on their website and could not find anything. I am looking for a cheap bag with about that rating to turn into an underquilt for my dad's setup. I'm not really worried about weight. He cannot hike and only does canoe trips.

I searched their online site earlier today and didn't see it. I saw them in the brick and morter store. They had 6 or 7 of them.

Thanks. I'll have to check out my local one.
