Tunnel Opening?

Anyone ever make a tunnel (think snow tent) opening in the bugnet? I've got a Hennessy and like the entrance just fine, but it would be nice to be able to access a gear hammock. I know there are velcro & zipper mods, but was wondering if anyone had tried this approach.

Might be hard to climb in. If you don't mind the extra weight, make a hammock sock out of netting.
