Just got back from an overnight with some friends. First all out try with the Single line Tarp RL and the ASRL. The sag was ideal and quite comfortable even with my CCF pad inside. The Tarp RL was just so quick and easy to set up. Both were fantastic!!

One question, has anyone ever put a line level on the ASRL? I set it up and it looked good, but there was some sliding during the night. It wasn't the fault of the ASRL, but I was thinking that a line level would help make sure the hammock was equalized, as it were.

Might want to raise your foot end some if it's you that is sliding. Totally equalized doesn't always work for the body since it isn't itself.

I thought my foot end was raised, but I was wrong. Had a Ozark Trail CCF pad, and they don't slide very easily, so I couldn't make a midnight adjustment. Just sayin'...

I have to agree with Dragon360 in that most of the time, you want your feet slightly higher to prevent sliding in the hammock. A line level may still be useful to you though. They usually have a bit of range outside level. When you find the sweet spot where you no longer slide, see what the levels says.

As you can see by the picture the level of the hammock is definitely flawed. Obviously operator's headspace. But on the ground, it looked level. This is why I thought of the line level. For those times when it looks level but really isn't.

Ellis, you'll get it dialed in with just a little more use. We all hang a bit differently and once you find your sweet spot, you're all set. Sure would like to see pics of your poncho liner UQ when you get it rigged :)

Got a line level from home depot this morning for a extremely small amount of change. The remaining items needed for the PLUQ are enroute and as soon as I have it together, I'll post some pics.
