Over at diy supply I'm thinking about picking up some carabiners for miscellaneous use. Just wondering what the size difference is between the micro and the mini carabiner ?

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that if you e-mail him and ask, he'll be able to provide a side-by-side comparison. His customer service is excellent.

They're about the same, but I much prefer the wiregate ones over the other type. I've checked all over various sites to get the best deal. I keep going back to Lawson's, as you can get 10 for $10 with free shipping. I've bought over 40 of these:

Are they the same 2 gram or what ever they weigh biners that diy sells ?

Yeah, they are the same 'biners. I have them from both places.

Yep, and JacksRBetter sells them, but they're in black only & they say "JacksRBetter" on them!

I went a searchin' when I was first looking for them last year. I could have bought a 'lot' of them from China for like $.25 each, but the minimum order was like 2000. I got them from several vendors, but I keep going back to Lawson for alcohol bottles, cord locks, biners and the like because it's easy to get over that $10 free shipping mark!

Lawson's fuel bottles don't leak. That's the only place I'll buy them.

If you want micro biners with HammockForums.net on them...get them here (http://hammockforumsstore.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1463571).
