When putting the smaller 1/2-3/4 underquilts in a stuff sack for travel, do you try to fold them or just stuff them?

I have always stuffed all of my gear to reduce the chance of always folding on the same line, and thus (theoretically) wearing out that spot. This could be bad if the waterproofing wore out on you prematurely. But, perhaps it is the time that the item spends stuffed that is more important.

I don't have one... yet, but I think I would either stuff it, or better yet, leave it attached to the hammock.
Leave it attached to hammock and stuff it all into the Black Bishop bag. Makes for easy set up.
