Recently used my MCat std with the BB and it was adequate, but I wouldn't go any smaller.

I have a micro and it covers the Blackbird fine. However, understand that this is to me a more fine weather tarp and though it will shield me from rain, I wouldn't want to ride out any real storms in them. A great and fun ounce calculating tarp though for the price! If you are looking for real coverage - may want to move up the ladder though.

True it does cover but no room for anything other than straight down rain. IMO it's good for keeping the dew off and prob a light rain. I sold mine. It is a great fair weather tarp.

Nothing against OES tarps, but you might condisder the Wilderness logics Tadpole. It's a great summer tarp at a great price, and if you decide it's not for you I doubt you'll have any trouble selling it on the forums.

I my favorite thing about the Oes tarps are the cat cut.

I like my Micro. I've used it over my Blackbirds a few times without trouble.
It covers the Blackbirds with a smallest margin of error, but coverage is complete. Agreed with the thoughts that it isn't the best in storm conditions. However, spring and summer showers are no problem at all.

I doubt he sells a whole lot of them; the mantra these days seems to be 'the bigger, the better' when it comes to tarps. Send him an email and see what he says. I know he isn't doing them in cuben at the moment, but otherwise he should be able to get a Micro to you.

Hey there.....maybe take a look at the "Edge" tarp.....http://warbonnetoutdoors.com/tarps.php Smallish.....I made one that is very similar in size. 3' sides....11' ridgeline.
Here is a picture of mine.

I'm a huge WB and OES tarp fan (I have one of each) but recently picked up a WL Tadpole for my minimalist, summer trips. It really is a great tarp. Value-durability-weight... It's hard to beat. I'm a fan now.

It does have some nice catcuts. Check out the WL website. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the tarp pitched off hand. I picked up a "green" one and really enjoy the color from underneath while laying in the hammock.

i had a micro - i have faith in its ability to cover. not being made anymore though. and, i'd be more comfortable on extended type trips with a little more coverage.

tadpole rules. i have one now--- great sized tarp. cat cuts on all sides, including ridgeline. built of a slightly burlier sil than the 'ultra-sil' stuff some UL vendors are using. really, quite perfect. i got panel pulls on mine - 1 each side, although they essentially unnecessary.

i've also always wanted an edge tarp from wb- or an oes standard... so my gear neurosis maybe get the best of me seeing the tadpole swim away.

anyways... good luck on your small'ish tarp search.
