On a recent hike through Australia's Fraser Island, Setting up my Warbonnet Blackbird & SuperFly in porch mode at Valley of the Giants Hikers Camp.

Heavy down pour of rain through the night, Remained dry and warm under my SuperFly and cuddled up in my Hammock Gear Top Quilt and Warbonnet Yeti under quilt.

I captured these images using my GoPro HD Hero2 in Time-lapse Mode, taking a photo every 5 seconds, using a Tamrac Zipshot Tripod.

That was cool. I have to agree that the time lapse is a very neat effect.

Thanks,

A great campsite. Looking forward to returning with my brand new HG Cuben fiber tarp.

It was interesting watching the trees move... Never realize how much the move till you see it from a still vantage point...

I've got friends that swear a tree leapt out on the road to deliberately ram their car...:scared:;)

BTW, don't drink and drive.

The new challenge is to set them up in 12 seconds...

How long was the overall setup?

Probably taken about 7 minutes to setup in real time.

My record for setting up so far is about two minutes, during a recent 7 day hike it rained heavy just as I was walking into camp.

My record with my old tent was 7 minutes... incoming storm plus idiotically rolling my fly into my tent before I left home. 2 minutes is amazing

I had no choose at the time it was that or get everything wet, so strung out my ridge-line, throw the tarp over, peg out 4 pegs and hammock up.

Nice video, and way to make me want a GoPro EVEN MORE!!

GoPro's are great. I'm going to setup more time lapse tomorrow of my new shelter for those times, I can't take my hammock.

Nice time lapse!

Thanks Sirkyi
