Oops on my tarp.

I was busy working on attaching line loc 3 on my tarp, then I noticed that I sewed a line loc where my D ring should have been. I know line locs are used for tie outs to the ground, how about to the trees?

Other than the fact that a lineloc for your tarp attachment to the tree will force a 2 piece ridgeline, it should work fine. Test it out and report back.

I didn't want to give up the single ridge line, so I attached a short length to a prussic and attached it to the line locs.

I've got Linelocs on all my tarps' tieouts, and they've held up in 40 mph winds, and the only time I've broken one was when the hammock suspension was pulling against it wrong (user error). The only caveat I've had to do is put a slippery half hitch behind the ridgeline ones most of the time.
