Exped or BA mat in a dbl layer hammock

I posted this in another thread, decided it needed its own.

So could you or would you use a Exped or BA mat in a double layer hammock? Or would the thickness of the inflated pad cause a problem?

If it is an end-gathered traveler-style hammock, I don't think you'll be very happy. The pad will slip around, if you can get it in the proper position to begin with.

I have no problem with with a 26 in. exped in my Claytor jungle hammock.

i've had the ba air core between 2 layers. still left it underinflated, but it works miles better than using it in a single layer. i've found it stays pretty still between the layers, but usually takes some messing with to get it in the right position.
